Much of history seems to be shaped by kings, governments and armies. However, behind the scenes, hidden to the human eye, God and His agents are at work as the true shapers of events. Were you to read the events recorded in the verses solely as they might be recorded by a historian, you would miss some of the most important details. It is only through the lens of divine revelation that we are able to see the complete picture — and what a picture it is.
