A various times Jesus would use the behavior of the bad to teach important lessons about life in the kingdom of God. He used a rich fool to teach the importance of being rich toward God (Luke 12:16-21). A “wicked” slave became the means to teach a lesson on forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-35).  A self-righteous tax collector served as and example to teach a lesson on humility (Luke 18:9-14).

If you are a Christian, there awaits you in the eternal dwelling place of the righteous “an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison” (2 Corinthians 4:17). What awaits those who are “sons of light” is so far beyond our comprehension that God is watching to see how we handle what He allows us here in this life. In Luke 16:1-13, the parable of the Unjust Steward, Jesus utilizes a dishonest “manager” to teach some very important lessons about life and eternal preparation.  Are you a faithful steward of God’s blessings? Are you a steward at all?
