Every person can relate to one of the twelve men whom Jesus literally washed the feet of. By application then, He washed our feet. Jesus washed our feet, then He said in John 13:20 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”  Jesus washed the feet of men who were to wash the feet of one another and others. Thus teaching other disciples to be humble servants with the example that that they are to follow. Accepting the position of service and getting to work, serving others.
