I believe that God wants us to learn that there are times when we cannot be told the whole picture.

We must trust that there are times when we suffer, not because we are bad, but because it can become the source of some final good.

In the midst of his bewilderment and confusion, Job declared,

“But He knows the way I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10).

Life is too complicated for us to handle alone.  There are times when it becomes so involved that we can’t even be given some of the answers. It is in those times that God is saying to us, “Stop and look at all the problems that I keep solving on the simplest levels of life, problems which are beyond your ability to handle. Now, can’t you trust Me to take care of this as well?” Paul understood this well, for in Romans 8:28 he wrote, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
