The question is not, “Is God in control of this world?” but, “Is God in control of my life?” Are we cooperating with Him in such a way that we are a part of the answer and not a part of the problem? We must never think that the days of great opportunities are all behind us. As one man said, “God is preparing His heroes, and when the opportunity comes, He can fit them into their places in a moment, and the world will still
wonder where they came from.” (A. B. Simpson, founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance). He is still looking for people who will “build up the wall and stand in the gap” (Ezekiel 22:30), but this requires us to commit ourselves to Him.
