As the Questions and Answers Series continues, this week’s question stems from Luke 22:36.

And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. (Luke 22:36 NASB)

Is Jesus implying that all men should be armed and ready for conflict or at least possess arms by which to deter violence? Why does Jesus tell His disciples to arm themselves since Jesus is all the defense His disciples needed?

Are you armed with faith in Jesus Christ? Are you His child, living for Him? Are you fighting the good fight of living as a Christian should?
