Are you a person dark or lost in your understanding of God and His ways? Are you one who is alienated from the spiritual life God offers? Are you someone who is calloused/hardened toward God? If this person describes you, you might not know it, but you are living a life of selfish greed and lust. This news sounds bad, but there is hope, there is opportunity, there is a means to change. People must be convicted of their sins before they can be converted from their sins. Paul knew this truth and acted upon it in a letter he wrote to people in Ephesus.
But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:20-24)
