Do you know what a living God can do?

If the Sadducees had understood the power of the God of the Old Testament, they would not have doubted His ability to raise the dead.

The Scriptures which they accepted were filled with examples of His power:

a. Creation — God created everything ex nihilo (Genesis 1) and breathed into a lifeless body the breath of life (Genesis 2:7).

b. Enoch — “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.” (Genesis 5:24, NASB95)

c. Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac — “Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you.”” (Genesis 22:5, NASB95)

d. Israel’s deliverance from Egypt — Plagues, crossing of the Red Sea, provision in the wilderness of manna, quail and water.

What about you? Do you know the power of God?

The same God who did all these things and much more will raise your mortal body.

On that day, God will give you a great victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
