The challenge put before us today is this: share the glory of our King; make the glory of our King known by obvious or evident means and show the presence of God in our lives through our presence in the world. For us to see and experience the glory of God in its fullest extent we must obey the will of the living and true God (1 Thessalonians 1:9).
His will instructs us to put off the old man with his deeds of disobedience and “put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him” (Colossians 3:5-17).
Romans 13:14 urges believers to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.”
To “put on Christ” one must be baptized. Galatians 3:27 says, “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with (or put on) Christ.”
