Taking Up The Mantle
The fifty men who were sons of the prophets pleaded with Elisha for permission to go search for Elijah. Elisha sought to discourage them but they persisted. Finally, he relented and they searched for three days for Elijah's body but to no effect. If we are not careful we will become like those young men, we want to bring back the past. The truth is that we cannot bring back those who fostered and developed our faith - they have gone on to their reward. Now the task fall to us.
